TWO long-standing members of the Felsted WI have helped the group celebrate its 35th anniversary.

Jill Smith and Barbara Storr cut the anniversary cake at the October meeting.

The meeting also included a historical ‘In the news, 1977’ quiz, and some amusing members’ stories.

Reene Byan from the North East Essex Badger Group will give a talk at the next Felsted WI meeting, to be held in the Memorial Hall at 7.45pm on Wednesday November 14.

Meanwhile, visitors can meet the embroiderers of ‘Felsted in Stitches’ - a project put together by over 80 people to capture the essence of the village and which took over two years to complete - and enjoy afternoon tea in the Memorial Hall on Saturday November 17, from 2.30-4.30pm. This is the last chance to buy brochures and merchandise of the community masterpiece.
