The southbound Thameslink line currently remains shut due to overhead line problems, but First Capital Connect (FCC) have announced a half hourly northbound service between St Albans and Bedford.

Disruption is expected to last well into the night and passengers are being advised by FCC and Network Rail, who are on scene assessing the situation, not to travel unless the journey is essential.

Buses are running between St Albans and Hatfield for those wishing to get to Kings Cross station via Hatfield.
