After the success of last year’s inaugural Uttlesford Business Awards, Archant is delighted to announce the return of the awards for 2018.

Last year’s event celebrated the best of business across the district, from new start-ups to large established companies.

Archant – publisher of the Dunmow Broadcast and the Saffron Walden Reporter – is bringing the event back for a second year, not only after the success of last year, but also because are proud of the communities we serve, including the hardworking businessmen and women in them.

Three of the sponsors can already be revealed for this year’s awards.

Stansted Airport is returning as headline partners, sponsoring the overall Business of the Year awards, while Uttlesford District Council is also returning to sponsor the New Business of the Year category.

The third is the new Stansted College – a partnership between Harlow College and Stansted Airport which will see a new further education centre built at the airport – which will sponsor the Apprentice of the Year award.

This year the overall Business of the Year award was claimed by Electromagnetic Testing Services, while the Judges’ Award went to Holisticare.

However, the judges agreed that in every category is a tough decision to pick a winner due to the high calibre of entries received from across the district and a range of sectors.

Entries for the 2018 Uttlesford Business Awards must be received by April 6.

So while there is plenty of time yet, we always encourage businesses to think early about which categories they might enter.

In the coming weeks and months we will speak to some of this year’s winners about what scooping an award has meant for them, and give you some top tips to make your entry as good as possible.

The awards ceremony will be held back at Quendon Hall on June 14, 2018.

There are also still opportunities to get involved with the awards themselves, such as through sponsorship. See the panel below for details of how to get in touch to find out more about those.
