Due to forecast thunderstorms across the south-east, Ryanair has taken the decision to cancel a number of its flights at Stansted Airport.
A spokesman for Ryanair said: “Due to thunderstorms being forecasted around Stansted we have cancelled a small number of flights.
“We expect further delays later tonight and customers can monitor the latest flight information on the Ryanair.com website.
“All affected customers have been contacted by email and text message and advised of their options: a full refund, rebooking on to the next available flight or transferring to an alternative flight.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this weather disruption, which is entirely beyond our control, and we are working hard to minimise the disruption to our operations.”
Ryanair passengers are advised to check their flight status with the airline before arriving at Stansted Airport.
