Police are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop at the scene of an accident at a roundabout near Stansted Airport.

The accident happened at the Priory Wood roundabout shortly before 10.30am on Monday, April 10.

A black Ford collided with a silver Vauxhall Astra estate after failing to stop at a junction, and the Ford did not stop at the scene.

It is believed the Ford drove off towards Braintree along the A120.

The victim’s car sustained damage but the driver suffered no injuries, and the Ford is suspected to have sustained damage to the front on the passenger’s side.

Witnesses to the incident or anyone with information regarding the driver of the Ford are asked to contact Pc Jonathan Ward at the roads policing unit on 101.

Alternatively, anyone with information can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or visit the Crimestoppers website here and report it online.
