Families got to enjoy the great outdoors at its best, on Saturday, with a range of fun activities at St Mary’s Riverbank.

Participants tried their hand at bird watching, creating a willow fence, and hand-making Mother’s Day gifts.

They also got the chance to take part in a fun ‘flower trail quiz’, designed by the Brownies, around the Riverbank Walk.

The next challenge for the Riverbank team is to keep nettles on the site at bay.

If anybody would like to become a volunteer for the project, contact Catherine Mummery, St Mary’s Riverbank co-ordinator, on 01371 859767 or e-mail catherinemummery@btinternet.com.
