Motorists warned to be careful as poor weather could be causing crashes on the A120

PUBLISHED: 15:18 03 March 2014 | UPDATED: 15:34 03 March 2014

Police officers have been called to a number of incidents on the A120 between Great Dunmow and Braintree which appear to have been caused initially by a hail-stone shower.

They are warning motorists to take care in the area and to slow down.

The first call came in at 2.30pm and there are at least five separate incidents.

At this time there does not appear to be any serious injuries. Motorists are advised to listen to updates about road/lane closures on the local traffic alerts.
