Men armed with a hammer are being hunted by police after a robbery at a shop near Braintree.

Two men entered the Co-op in Church Street, Bocking at about 10pm, Thursday, July 13. They demanded money from staff and left on foot with a three figure sum of cash.

One suspect was white, around 18, wearing a long-sleeved grey hooded top, a dark baseball cap with a white logo, dark shoes with white socks pulled up. He was wearing a white glove on his left hand and a black glove on his right hand.

The second suspect was slightly shorter, white, also around 18 and in a long sleeved zip-up black hooded top over a white T-shirt, black trousers and black shoes. He was holding a yellow carrier bag.

It comes after two men with hammers robbed a Co-Op in Hallett Road, Flitch Green, on July 5.
