A man had a ‘lucky’ escape when the car he was in rolled into a ditch off the A120 in Great Dunmow.

The ambulance service was called at 12.37pm on Thursday following reports a car had hit the central reservation and rolled back across the road. Paramedic officer, Steve Keating, said: “We treated a man in his 20s who was very lucky to escape with what appear to be minor injuries to his side and abdomen.

“He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further assessment.”
