Last year pop group Clean Bandit landed Christmas number one with their track Rockabye.

The song, which entered the charts nine weeks prior to Christmas, was about a single mother struggling to support her family.

It spent seven weeks at the top of the charts.

This year the favourites to become Christmas number one consist of Ed Sheeran ft Beyonce – Perfect; Wham!/George Michael – Last Christmas; Mariah Carey – All I want for Christmas; Rak-Su ft Wyclef and Naughty Boy – Dimelo; Rita Ora – Anywhere and Camila Cabello – Havana.

Suffolk singer Ed Sheeran is being tipped to hit the top spot this Christmas thanks to his collaboration with Beyoncé.

The Castle on the Hill singer from Framlingham has teamed up with the American superstar for a remix of his latest track, Perfect.
