A fire in Hatfield Heath saw Essex fire fighters immediately call for back-up upon arrival.

Fire fighters were called to a garage in Matching Road on March 17 which was alight at around 5pm. The fire fighters quickly requested further crews, as half of the garage and roof was on fire.

Five crews dealt with the fire, which was extinguished by 8pm, including Harlow, Old Harlow, Epping and Stansted services.

The garage and roof have suffered some fire damage and the property above the garage has suffered water damage.

An investigation will take place to determine the cause of the fire.
