Festive car park deals in Uttlesford

There will be free parking in district council car parks at certain times in the run-up to Christmas and into the new year.

Parking will be free after 3pm in all council-managed car parks (except Fairycroft Road/Waitrose car park in Saffron Walden) from Friday, December 1 to Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24 and from Christmas Day, December 25 to New Year’s Day, Monday, January 1.

There will also be one-off offers linked to special festive events.

There will be free parking on Friday, December 1 from noon in Swan Meadow car park, Saffron Walden ahead of the town’s Christmas lights switch-on and late night shopping. The switch on is at 6pm and late night shopping is until 8.30pm.

There will also be free parking on Saturday, December 2 December in all Great Dunmow car parks to support the town’s Christmas event, which runs from 3pm to 6.30pm, with the Christmas lights switch-on at 5pm.
