Fatal traffic accident in Little Easton

A man from Thaxted died this morning (Friday, March 10) following a fatal traffic accident in Little Easton.

Police were contacted shortly before 10.50am today, with reports a Ford Fiesta had collided with a stationary Volkswagen Golf on the B184 near Woodside Way.

Fire crews from Stansted and Great Dunmow and an air ambulance also attended and the driver of the Fiesta, a man aged in his 80s from Thaxted, was treated by paramedics but sadly died at the scene.

The road has now been reopened.
