An Uttlesford volunteering organisation is holding an event to thank those who give their time for free to good causes.

Volunteer Uttlesford, based in Saffron Walden, is inviting people to join them on Thursday, June 8, from 11am-1pm, to celebrate Volunteers Week.

The event is being held at Jubilee Gardens in Saffron Walden and music will be provided by Clarinet Caprice.

Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic, although refreshments will be on sale from the Garden Room, and Volunteer Uttlesford will provide homemade cake.

The event is also an opportunity to find out more about Volunteer Uttlesford and discover what kind of volunteering opportunities are available.

Whatever your interests, wherever you live, whether you have a lot of time or a little, if you want to make friends, feel useful, or put something back or gain a skill – the organisation can point you in the right direction.

For more information, contact 01799 510525, email volunteer@volunteeruttlesford.org.uk or visit Volunteer Uttlesford at the Uttlesford District Council offices in Saffron Walden.
