Roger Hirst, Essex Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner is holding a public meeting in Saffron Walden on Monday, December 4, to follow up on his event in the town in February.

This meeting takes place from 6.30-8pm at the Town Hall, Market Square.

Mr Hirst will be joined by Chief Inspector Craig Carrington, Braintree and Uttlesford district commander for Essex Police, plus representatives from the local Community Safety Partnership and Essex County Fire and Rescue Service.

Details of current crime trends and ongoing operations will be discussed at the meeting. Anybody attending will have the opportunity to put their questions and concerns to the panel.

Mr Hirst said: “At the last meeting it was clear that the residents of Saffron Walden had a number of concerns and wanted the raise them publicly.

“We will aim to give people an update on what we have done since then, and it will be good to hear their feedback and to find out how things are going in the area in relation to community safety.”
