Highways England has reported severe delays on the M11 in both directions in Essex this afternoon following an earlier crash.

The northbound carriageway was closed between junction eight for Stansted and junction 10 while the incident was ongoing earlier.

Highways England said that traffic on the southbound carriageway was held to allow the air ambulance to attend.

All closures have now been removed, but delays are still ongoing in the area.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time or use an alternative route.
