Scrumptious Tearooms took part in a national fundraiser to help boost funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Blooming Great Tea Parties have been taking place across the country this week, and the Market Place eatery held one on Sunday.

On the day, £200 was raised through 20 per cent of all tea and cake sales being donated to the charity plus a quiz. The winner was Louise Maclean, who won a Flitch Cream Tea for two.

Owner Jane Turton said: “We would like to thank the generosity of our customers for all their contributions.”
