Motorist suffers serious injuries following collision near Dunmow

A motorist remains in a serious condition in hospital following a collision near Dunmow on Saturday.

Essex Police and East of England Ambulance crews were called to Stortford Road at about 5.55pm following reports of a collision.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “A maroon Ford Galaxy left the road and was in collision with a tree.

“The driver, a man in his 80s, was taken to hospital where he is in a serious condition.

“We want to speak to anyone who saw or heard the collision or was driving in the area at the time and has dash cam footage.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident 1088 or 20/08.
