REGARDING the global warming and all the current hysteria (Postbag 01/03/07), in early Viking times they cultivated crops in Greenland, and in the mid 1800s one winter was so extremely warm that strawberries were picked in December.

Samuel Pepys write at length about the situation in his diary. There were no cars, planes or factories in early Viking times! Who caused the warming then?
