A CCTV image has been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Newbiggen Street, Thaxted, at around 2.30am on Thursday, March 2. An upstairs window was forced open and a five-figure sum of cash was stolen.
Residents for Uttlesford (R4U) has accused the leadership of the district council of “underhand behaviour” amid claims that councillors have already made up their minds about where they want houses to be built.
Two notices were removed from outside the victim’s house in Well Green Close, Saffron Walden, and were burnt on a small pile of charcoal next to the victim’s garden fence. No damage was caused to the fence. The incident between 5pm on February 3 and 4.30pm on February 4.
